check_oracle_health broken

Post by rajasegar »

FYI.

We are using nagios xi 5.2.8

Please note that the check_oracle_health is not working. It just hangs for tablespace checks, list-tablespace etc.
I downloaded the latest version check_oracle_health-2.1.3.5.tar.gz from https://labs.consol.de/nagios/check_ora ... index.html.

After installation, it is working fine again.
Please take note. Hope this info helps someone.

The "check_oracle_health" is not one of our plugins, and as far as I know it is not even installed by default on a stock system...

Can you describe in details all of the steps you took prior to noticing this issue? Did you run any of the "Oracle" wizards that ship with XI? Did you follow our "How to Install & Configure the Oracle Client & Plugins" document?

https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf

Can you provide us with screenshots and show us the actual check that you are running from the command line along with the output of it?

Ok I must have installed it then :)
I did not use any wizards. It has been working fine for 2 years already.

It is working fine now. Anyway will send the command tomorrow.

If it is working fine now, it is probably safe to lock the thread. However, I will leave it open for a while, so that you could post the command (for the other users' benefit). Thank you!
