Hi ,
We created few maps in Nagvis. Whenever we try to access nagvis its asking for authentication user id and password.
Reviewed discussions in nagios support and nagvis FAQ . Those steps used to login to nagvis as "nagiosadmin" without prompting for authentication.
Our requirement is,
1) Need to access Nagvis without authentication , as current user. (Note: We have integrated nagios with LDAP)
2) Need to display specific nagvis maps in the home screen once we login to nagios.
Nagios XI version : 5.2.2
Nagvis Version : 1.5
Kindly assist ,
Nagvis authentication issue
Re: Nagvis authentication issue
Have you tried logging in with the same username and password you use for accessing your Nagios XI instance?

Re: Nagvis authentication issue
eloyd is correct - try using those creds for starters. As for the rest of your goals I'm afraid they will be unreachable when using the XI GUI since Nagvis is an add-on. In other words it is not possible to see Nagvis maps, etc immediately upon logging into XI so you'll have to just go to the Nagvis URL directly for such. The XI doc (below) on Nagvis integration outlines what is integrated into XI, and seeing maps on the home page is not one of them unfortunately, at least the doc does not mention it and I could not find a way to do this here either.

Re: Nagvis authentication issue
Hi,
Thanks for the update. We added the nagvis map url at the "home screen dashboard settings" of nagios xi and it works fine.
But its asking for user id/password to display nagvis maps.
@ nagvis
is there any way to avoid authentication and it has to login as current nagiosxi user.

Re: Nagvis authentication issue
Well, based on the thread below, I don't think that type of integration (auto login to nagvis using the current XI user) is possible at the moment. I checked the FR posted to that thread and it is in a pending status, and I don't see any related notes in the XI changelog either.

You're welcome. Did you have any other questions on the topic, or may we lock this thread?
