i want to monitor windows performance counters using WMI. Counters are like ASP.NET counters, Disk I/O, etc.
Does anyone know how to do that?

Yes, please take a look at the Windows wizard located under Configure -> Configuration Wizards.
It will have a spot, to enter the path to the performance counter, provide a display name, and allows you to alter the output / define thresholds for warning + critical. See below -
