access layer switch monitoring
access layer switch monitoring
Hi, I am new to Nagios (installed it today) and trying to get it up and running. I added in one of our Cisco 4507RE chassis today as a test. This is an access layer switch. I want know status of all ports if I look but I don't want alerts or errors of end user ports that are down. how do I configure that? I know in solarwinds (which we are moving from) they had an option for this.

Re: access layer switch monitoring
Use the "Network Switch / Router" configuration wizard, you can choose what ports you want to monitor.

You can select in the wizard to not have a port status check per port.
