Mass downtime scheduler

Post by jon.bilderback »

I have roughly 60 hosts that will need to be scheduled for downtime over the holidays. Do I need to go in and set this up one system at a time, or is there an easier way?

Hostgroup downtime? Servicegroup downtime? Downtime scheduler with the ability to pick multiple hosts?

Thanks

The Mass Acknowledgment Component can also schedule downtime in bulk.

Which is very nice, but the systems would have to already be in an "Unhandled Problem" state, and I'm trying to be proactive about this.

Thanks.

Ah, this is true. You can also check downtime by hostgroup or servicegroup. To see the list of available commands for groups, look for a small icon to the top right of the group table that says "View host/service group Commands." From here you can schedule downtime for the whole group.
