Default Dashboard showing Time stamps only

Post by rayc »

Hi
The log sever appears to be collecting logs, however the dashboard view shows time stamps only (see attachment)
Please can you help me recover these messages?

I have the following inputs and filters configured;

I am currently monitoring the default server 127.0.0.1, as well as 2 x Cisco Nexus switches and 1 x Cisco router, all of these devices use UDP 514. I was originally able to see syslog messages however it has now stopped working. Any help with this would be most appreciated.

We ran into that earlier this week, on a fairly new deployment. Sadly, I can't recall if it was 1.4.1 install that got upgraded to 1.4.2, or a fresh 1.4.2 install. I didn't spend enough time debugging it before complete reinstall, but the symptoms were exactly the same: events were listed, but _none_ of the fields were showing any data.

Clear your browser cache and let me know if that fixes it. There's an issue with a wrong version number being cached that we're aware of.
