configuration monitoring self

Have installed nagios xi on a server.
How to use nagios xi to monitor self or the same server.
The configuration wizard gives me option of only "monitoring a remote linux server".

If you look at the host or service details and search for a system called localhost, that is actually the nagios system checking itself. It just uses localhost for the name.

Nagios will monitor the Nagios server just like any other Linux host. Its completely up to you.
