Windows 10 Explorer Serrvice
Re: Windows 10 Explorer Serrvice
Have you tried using a more recent version of NSClient++? Using 0.4.1.73, my problem was that the PROCSTATE command simply did not work against a Windows 10 machine. It would not be able to find the process in any situation. Upgrading my installation to 0.4.4.19 remedied the issues I was facing.

Re: Windows 10 Explorer Serrvice
Bad news guys.
Installed NSCP-0.4.4.19-x64 on my Windows 10 Computer.
Now all but one service works
My NRPE service came back fine on Disk Checking
All other services 6 in total have this error CRITICAL - Socket timeout after 10 seconds
I had to modify the nsclient.ini to get the NRPE service to work
I ran this command
nscp settings --generate --add-defaults --load-all
This is my new ini file
What is wrong? What am I missing here?
Thank you
Tom

Can you upload the nsclient.ini file as a file please.
Can you please show us the command line test of the command that is not working.

root@tgcs017:/usr/lib/nagios/plugins# ./check_nt -H 10.2.8.69 -p 12489 -v USEDDISKSPACE -l c
CRITICAL - Socket timeout after 10 seconds
Same results
See attached ini
Update
I tried this adding -t 30 to the command
thomas@tgcs017:/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects$ /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/./check_nt -H 10.2.8.69 -p 12489 -v USEDDISKSPACE -l c -t 30
CRITICAL - Socket timeout after 30 seconds
Update again ran NMAP
thomas@tgcs017:/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects$ nmap 10.2.8.69 -p 12489
Starting Nmap 7.01 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2016-08-09 16:23 EDT

Re: Windows 10 Explorer Serrvice
Can you edit the nsclient.ini file on that system and change the following from
to
Then restart the NSClient++ service and that should fix the issue.
Try that and let us know if it works.
Code: Select all
NSClientServer = 0Code: Select all
NSClientServer = 1Try that and let us know if it works.

Re: Windows 10 Explorer Serrvice
In addition to this, your ini file has a password and your check_nt command is not providing -s XXXXXXXX
Code: Select all
./check_nt -H 10.2.8.69 -p 12489 -s XXXXXXXX -v USEDDISKSPACE -l cAs of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.
