comments feature

Post by paul.jobb »

Hi Just a quick regarding comments.

I have a user who is entering comments for a particular service check , tracking observations for the most part, and they seem to be getting deleted after a while. Is that by design? how does that field work?

Is your user perhaps unchecking the "Persistent" option?

Hello, i am the user who entered the comments and the persistent option was left checked.
If the persistent option is left checked the expectation is that the comments entered will persist forever?

This is correct.

As an alternative, you can use the "Object Notes" component to enter notes.

ok we will look into using notes.

Since the comments are disappearing, and they are checked as persistent, should we log as bug?

I haven't been able to recreate the issue so far. I am not sure if this is a bug...
I would recommend opening a new support ticket in our email ticketing system by emailing us at [email protected]. We may need to look at your profile, and possibly do a remote session to further troubleshoot the issue.
