how to monitor a process?

how to monitor a process in linux unix windows?, I want to send a alarm when a process in down , any plug_in to do this?

The check_procs can monitor processes. Lots of options.

would u know how to transfer that data into graph?

i am using this script i found from the community plugins section: check_linux_stats.pl

so far i have managed to get it working to capture data from the client servers but i dont know how to use the script to generate graph..i would appreciate it if someone out there could help me on this
