Wrong Memory reporting

Post by JohnFLi »

I have a Windows 2008 R2 SP1 server that (computer properties reports) has 24 gig ram. The Dell OpenManage Server Administrator reports it has 24,576 megs of installed memory. It also reports that it 6 Dimms of 4,096 MB ram installed.

All of that is correct.

YET:
Nagios reports it has much more ram

as you can tell, I restarted the windows machine recently. No idea how long this reading has been wrong, I just noticed it earlier today.

I am using v.0.4.1.105 nsclient++(x64)

any ideas why Nagios is reading this wrong?
Needless to say, a memory warning at 80% of 50 gigs is alot more that the total amount of actual memory
