Hello,
i'm experiencing some trouble using the "connect to hostname" button on "host status detail" page on Nagios XI enterprise.
when I click on this button, I get the popup Windows, I choose "SSH" in dropdown menu then click on "connect", nothing happens on Firefox 47.0.
I tried it on IE 11.0, i get an error "this webpage cannot be displayed".
do you have somewhere a pdf to enable this functionnality ? because it seems that something need to be loaded by this module, like for RDP connection.
thank you !

Hello,
I just had a look at your KB, and you tell us to modify registry in order to open an SSH session ?
I can't do that on all computers that will access the Nagios ... neither if a new user is added to the project.
Ajaxterm is Embedded with your Nagios, why I can't use it to get SSH access in Nagios portal ?

Re: SSH connection on "host status detail" page
Well you probably can, but you asked about the "Connect to hostname" button so I gave documentation for that. The reason for the registry edit is because you need to tell windows how to handle the ssh:// protocol link, otherwise you end up with a "Cannot be displayed" page like you mentioned.
Ajaxterm is also only in the Enterprise Edition features, so if you do not have those the feature will not be available to you.

Hello,
I have the enterprise edition like I said in first post.
I want to connect to my Linux servers through SSH by using ajaxterm, is there a way to do that ?
thank you

The last line was more of a general note to others who might read this in the future.
You can use Ajaxterm as you suggested, you would just need to log in to the Ajaxterm page and SSH in from there. But if you are looking for a single-click option similar to the "Connect to hostname" button, that will need to use the option documented in the KB article.

Well okay, the integration of AjaxTerm in Nagios is pointless from my point of view.
