Quick find function excluding hosts
Quick find function excluding hosts
I've just noticed that if you do a quick find and a host matches the string pattern but has no attached services it won't display, however if that string matches ONLY hosts with no currently attached services it will display them. Is this a bug or some kind of bizarre design decision?
Re: Quick find function excluding hosts
Yeah I think there is a bug somewhere in the search logic. Here's what I observed, maybe you can confirm if you're seeing the same thing.
- A search for a host with no child services will show up only if NO matching services are found.
- If services, or a host with services meet the criteria, it will ignore the host with no child services.
Let me know if you notice any other oddities with this that I'm missing and we'll get a bug report filed.

Re: Quick find function excluding hosts
That would be exactly what I'm seeing, I haven't noticed anything else related go awry.

Added to the bug tracker, thanks for the heads up!

Re: Quick find function excluding hosts
I have the same problem. I cannot find newly created host via the "search" or "quick find" bar, even if they have a child services. Everything else seems to be working.

Are the hosts there at all, or does the issue appear to be just the quick find?
