Approved Test Server Approach

Post by awilson »

Hi. Is there an approved approach to setup Nagiosxi testbeds without purchasing a new license? We have 4 licensed servers and want to test various configurations prior to moving the change to production.

Is there a recommended way to turn a Nagios XI server trial server into a Nagios Core server?

Thanks!

Each Nagios XI license is approved for up to three installations: one primary monitoring/production, one backup/failover, and one test environment. As long as you are only using one install for production monitoring, you are within the boundaries of our licensing policy.

If you eventually activate Nagios XI on three IP's and need to migrate one of them to a new IP, simply contact our sales department at [email protected]. They can typically offer additional installs.
