Expand service status column

Is this still a valid method to expand what is displayed in the service and host status pages in XI?

I would like to increase to maybe double what they are now, not all the way to 65535 like in that post, but same stuff, right?

Same stuff, I don't think the DB layout is going to change much if at all.
