service checks are delayed in Nagios

Post by sunnynani4849 »

Hi ,

We are using check_mk on the nagios server, all the service monitored are passive checks.
We have restarted the Nagios service on the 26th Aug 2016. From that time all the service last check are showing as 26th Aug 2016 to till date. What might be the issue? could you please help.

As check_mk is not our product, we're a bit limited on the support we can provide for something like this.

If they are passive checks, perhaps the firewall turned back on when you rebooted? Do you see any data incoming by checking with a tcpdump?

You had multiple processes running before, was perhaps one of them a newer configuration? I don't know why the previous issue would interrupt your passive checks.
