Monitoring a ping every night at midnight and report

Hello Experts,

Is is possible in Nagios XI to monitor the ping results at midnight and then create the latency monthly report at 12 midnight. Is yes how can I achieve that.

There is not a setting in XI to specify an exact time for checks, but you can apply a very restrictive time period, say 00:01 - 00:15, to the service check. You would first define the time period under:
Configure > Core Config Manager > Alerting > Timeperiods

Then you would apply that time period to the service check under the 'Check Settings' tab--- look for the 'check period' dropdown to select your custom timeperiod.

Reporting is easy, just run an availability report, but more configuring might be necessary if you have the midnight ping checks running on multiple hosts - let us know if this is the case, thanks.
