Hello,
it would be nice to be able to set a hostgroup filter on the Google maps component / dashboard. The only way to limit the amount of hosts that are visible is by creating a user which has only permissions on those hosts right? Of is there some other way to achieve this?

Re: Google Maps component filter
Willem, this functionality is already implemented in googlemap ver.1.4.2, which will be out *soon* (probably today).

Re: Google Maps component filter
That's very good news Ludmill. I just tested the 1.5 version of the component and it is perfectly possible to display only the hosts in a hostgroup after selecting it and reloading. Together with the popup functionality this will be super useful to show only some hosts on dashboards. Pls say thanks to the developer.
(Now excuse me for being demanding..) But I was unable to show the map with a filtered hostgroup on a dashboard. Nor the Google Maps Dashlet, nor the Custom URL dashlet seemed to remember the hostgroup that was used as filter.

Re: Google Maps component filter
Willem,
I guess I was just so excited to release the component that I totally forgot to update the dashlet related items you mentioned. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I'll get them completed and then release a new version as soon as it's done.
