How to Safely Upgrade NagiosXI

Could you please suggest how can we safely upgrade our nagios server with full backup

5.2.9 was released on June 14th, 2016.

First off, I want to mention that 5.3.0 should be out soon. That said, the upgrade and backup procedures should be the same between 5.2.9 and 5.3.0.
