Nagiox XI Notes

We are in the process of migrating from Nagios Core to Nagios XI.

Currently we use the notes in Nagios Core so that the Nagios interface shows a small description giving details like the contact person for that particular host/service. I can see that in the service/host configuration page, under the misc settings, there is an option to add notes however this is only displayed when the service/host is viewed in the Nagios Core. Is there a way to view this in Nagios XI interface without doing any hard coding?

I am aware of the notes component which adds a new tab displaying notes, however I would still like to use the notes feature as it displays information without introducing additional navigation.

If i'm understanding things right, this is how your comments appear currently in Nagios Core:

You could use the "Actions" component to view notes on hosts/services under the Host/Status Detail page (Quick Actions section). You may configure the component as such:

Then, you should be able to view the notes - example:
