Is there a way to have Nagios Core send its log to an XI machine. For instance let's say that the Core server is monitoring 20 machines. How would one get the info about those 20 nodes into XI via the Core machine. The Core machine has to stay in place and can't be removed.
Thanks
Travis

Re: Monitor Nagios Core Clients with XI
You could send passive check results from the Nagios Core server to the Nagios XI server via NSCA or NRDP.

Re: Monitor Nagios Core Clients with XI
I think either of these methods would do. Seems like Core and XI would play nicer with each other than this.

I am using XI. It doesn't appear that NSCA nor NRDP is an option in the list of wizards.
Re: Monitor Nagios Core Clients with XI
The checks are initiated on the Nagios Core machine, then the passive checks results are sent to Nagios XI. Please, review the two documents I provided links for in my previous post.
On the Nagios XI side of things, you can set/verify your "Inbound Check Transfer Settings" (NRDP & NSCA) by going to Admin->Check Transers->Inbound Transfers. The passive checks should show up under "Unconfigured Objects".
Note: You can check if the "Listener For Unconfigured Objects" is enabled by going to Admin->Performance Settings->Subsystem.
