Disable acknowledgement notification email in Nagios Core 4

Is there an option to disable acknowledgement notification email in Nagios Core 4? The reason for this is to reduce outbound email to email contacts. According to bug tracker# 562, this feature has been implemented in Nagios XI 5R1.0.

If you do not want an acknowledgement notification sent out to the appropriate contacts, uncheck the "Send Notification" checkbox.
