Dears,
i have few questions regarding monitoring an oracle database server.
1. can i create a user on oracle server in order to user for monitoring purposes or i have to user oracle admin user.
2. if yes, what privileges should this user have.
3. can i specify multiple tablespaces when adding this monitoring services or one by one.
Thanks,

Re: Oracle database monitoring
1. Yes, you can create a user. However, depending on the metrics you're after, you may have to use the system user.
2. For tablespaces the created user will need to be able to read / view them.
3. I don't believe so, it is one tablespace per check.
We have a document outlining the install process which can be found here - https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf

Re: Oracle database monitoring
It sounds like this issue has been resolved. Is it okay if we lock this thread? Thanks for choosing the Nagios forums!
