Hello,
My IT Team has decided to move from layer 2 switching to layer 3. I have several concerns when it comes to nagios. Most of the servers i am monitoring will only have the subnet mask changed, will i have to change anything on the services since the IP isn't changing? I typically do not monitor by host name.
An additional concern is my SSL cert. Will i have to have another cert issued if only the subnet mask of my nagios server is changing?
Thanks.

Re: Networking Change
I am unclear as to what you are describing as switching can only occur at layer 2, but if you're re-subnetting your internal space it should be fine. Provided your routing is line with your new networking of course and Nagios had a path to it's targets.
SSL certs are issued by domain name, not IP.
