Mysql monitoring using SNMP

I am new to Nagios world, please forgive me if I ask already answered question & please redirect me to the solution.
Is it possible to monitor remote mysql server using SNMP?

Sure although it would require modification of the hosting SNMP daemon. Here is one example:
