Notifications on Host Down Status

We're running Nagios Core 4.2.0 and it appears my predecessor somehow disabled notifications for powered down hosts.

I'm still receiving notifications for service alerts but never for an offline host.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the link.

I noticed the previous admin had commented out the "use" line to reference the templates so it was only using the settings in the windows.cfg file.
