Hi,

We have added website url monitor host example.com with 30 services example.com/abcd < and we are getting critical alerts socket time out 10 sec but we only want alerts when url is down or up, could you please help me out on this.

I'm not sure I understand your question. If the check is timing out, then does that not mean the URL is down?

Also please post your /usr/local/nagios/var/objects.cache. What service is failing?

I mean we are getting many alerts from nagios critical, warning , down, up, etc>
what we want.?
only want alert when url is showing 404 content or not responding and after is working fine

Socket timeout 10 sec we are tired from this alert its sending again and again we just want to skip this alert

Please post your /usr/local/nagios/var/objects.cache file. We need this to understand your configuration.
