NRPE Agent

Hi,

We have linux servers 5.2 and we need to install NRPE agent (i already have agent ,I installed it from Nagios page "Configuration Wizard: Linux Server - Step 2 "),but as i know this server should be connected to internet .currently these servers can not connect to internet for security purpose ,please your help

and why servers should connected to internet during installing NRPE agent
