Monitor event log for a specific error?

Hello,

Can Nagios Core monitor event viewer on a Windows Server and then restart a specific service if a given error shows in the event log? I found the following plugin but I suspect I will still need XI to make it work. Of course any pointers are greatly appreciated.

It looks like there's a few different options on the exchange.

One includes an agent that receives remote queries:

We have documentation for setting this up in Nagios XI. The process should be roughly the same for Nagios Core:
