i am currently using nagios core on ubuntu. certainly a squid proxy server is running. and i ve a access point connected to this server. other users connects to server through that access point. i just want to monitor those users. what are they doing ? which websites , session are they surfing and how much bandwidth they are consuming. please help i am in a crisis.

Monitoring user activity isn't really the domain of Nagios... Nagios is more of a tool for detecting environment faults (network failures, hardware failures, software failures, things misbehaving in general). While you might be able to use Nagios for the purpose you want, there are probably far better tools out there to achieve this. The exact name of the kind of tool you are looking for escapes me at the moment, but I don't think Nagios is it.
