Upgrading from 1.4.0 to 1.4.4?

Post by gsl_ops_practice »

Hello,

We are in the process of planning the upgrade from current Production version 1.4.0 to 1.4.4. Is upgrading straight from 1.4.0 to 1.4.4 supported?

In a 2-node NLS cluster, would we just need to run the upgrade on one node at a time without shutting down any services? Or would it be recommended to shut down Logstash/ElasticSearch on both nodes before doing this upgrade?

Thank you.

The logstash and elasticsearch services will be restarted over the course of an upgrade from 1.4.0 to 1.4.4. I would suggest rolling restarts on all nodes post-upgrade if you wanted to be extra super safe.

I didn't have any issues upgrading directly from 1.4.0 to 1.4.4. Your results may vary, but there aren't any major changes between those two versions:
