Hi,
We are running with Nagios XI 5.2.9, Now upgrade is available to 5.3.3.
On the basises of Nagios XI – How to Upgrade Using the Web UI which provided by Nagios XI
Point -1
So before you start the upgrade process, make sure that any files that you have changed due to customization have been moved or backed up so
they will not be overwritten during the upgrade process.
Point -2
Note: The pop-up warns you again to back up any edited files which you do not want to be overwritten and clarifies that components are not overwritten unless they are core XI components. To clarify which components are considered core XI components.
The question is that most of the Hosts and Services are added manually by us, will they get effect if we upgrade to 5.3.3 version.
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Nagios XI Upgrade
Re: Nagios XI Upgrade
When you mention manually, do you mean with the static directory?
The update is warning of custom UI changes and such, so you should be fine. If you've defined any custom CCM commands that change what the default value exists at, these could be overwritten.

Re: Nagios XI Upgrade
Hi,
No, We didn't created any static directories. We just edited manually few Switches/Routers files under the Hosts/Services directories.
Will these files get effect if I upgrade. I am worried about the files which we edited manually.
Need your suggestion, For upgrade to 5.3.3 version.

Did you import the configuration into the CCM per https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf ?
If so, then you should be good. If not, go ahead and give that a shot. Please let us know if you run into issues.
