How to Stop Log from localhost

Dear All,

I'm Newbie on Nagios .I have installed Nagios Log Server with OVA then I add eventlog from win server 2012 after long time more about 5 hours the eventlog is appears on Dashboard.

how to stop syslog from localhost if I want to know log other localhost (Nagios Log Server)

I think you have two different issues. Could you clarify whether you are asking about the delay in logs?

If you want localhost to not send information to NLS, then you can remove, move, comment out /etc/rsyslog.d/nagioslogserver.conf.

Filtering might be a better option though, unless you really don't care about the logs on localhost. Additional information is available at https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ilters.pdf

Thank you for the response.

i have configured on /etc/rsyslog.d/nagioslogserver.conf is like below

#*.* localhost = 5544

about filtering the logs i have tried the configuring it.if I get confuse i will ask again.
