Creation of subsets from servicegroupoverview

Post by prateekagr1988 »

Hello,

I would like to create a layered structure of the service groups configured at our end.
For instance, if I divide my service groups in to 5 categories, my first layer should show overall RAG status of the 5 categories.
When I click one category, it should show RAG status of each service group in it (and not hosts and services).

Is this a possibility with some addon?

The dashboard feature doesn't help since it requires the user to scroll down a lot and there's no way to get consolidated information of the service groups in the dashboard. There are no dashlets giving information of service groups from the dashboard. Dashlets give information considering the entire monitoring configured.

Any inputs and ideas are welcome.

Regards,
Prateek

For the sake of clarity, you are talking about visual layers, and not https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... tance.html, is that correct?

If you are looking for something visual, could you maybe mock something up for us to take a look at?

If you are having an issue with inheritance, could you explain in more detail your issue?

Also, so we can start to be more specific with your services, can you PM me your Profile? You can download it by going to Admin > System Config > System Profile and click the Download Profile button towards the top. If for whatever reason you *cannot* download the profile, please put the output of View System Info (5.3.4+, Show Profile if older) in the thread (that will at least get us some info).

After you PM the profile, please update this thread. Updating this thread is the only way for it to show back up on our dashboard.
