Sounds goo. I'm pretty sure there are port checks in use here from F5 to hosts, so this should be workable.
Another subject from the past posts in this thread... I think on page 2, post 2 there's a statement that a 3 node cluster is better than a 2 node. My question is are odd numbers of nodes desired? I think I took the number 3 and extrapolated to odd numbers, but that may not be true...

I don't think we (sales or support) have ever recommended odd-numbered clusters over even-numbered, or vice-versa. Back on pages 2 and 3 I definitely pushed for more nodes in the cluster, in which case "3 is better than 2" would apply, but the general case was in favor of more nodes, not their divisibility by 2. Similarly, @rkennedy said "at least a 3 node cluster" which, while we may not advertise it, is available for $5,995 (the order form has more pricing options than we advertise here).
