I don't believe we make any internal calls using ipv6, there may be to localhost though. If anything, I would disable ipv6, and/or modify the /etc/hosts file to remove any resolution to ipv6, if it exists.
We have gone through two quickstart sessions with you guys, we have used your appliance build, we have done multiple attempts on clean minimal installs of centos 6 and centos 7, we have tried to rip through every single shred of information you guys have published, we even tried to modify the application and had some success, but we have not been able to get it to work since the product was initially purchased back in April. What do we do now? I was handed this last week and asked to have it up and running this month for a review and have gotten nowhere; which is in a similar spot to the previous admins. I got the ELK stack products working and Nagios was what we used previously, our hangup is Nagios Logserver is dead in the water. So I reiterate, what do we do now?

First off, if you are a current customer this should really be posted in the Customer section of the forum so our SLA will apply. Let me know if that is something you want to do and I can move the thread.

If you have used a truly unmodified VMWare appliance that we created and it still is not working, and JavaScript is definitely not being disabled or stripped at the network level, then we would need to open up an email ticket and do a remote session to try and verify the results. However if JS is being stripped or the machine has been STIG'd, this is not something we can support.

@mcapra is our top Logserver technician so I would advise continuing to work with him on the issue. He and @rkennedy have already spoken to our dev team and determined that JavaScript being disabled was responsible for at least some (if not all) of the frontend issues, and that the STIG in place is not something we develop against so this is likely causing issues as well. This is correct, and is part of the reason we offer a 60-day trial period and Quickstart sessions, so the product can be evaluated in a live environment prior to a purchasing decision.

@tmcdonald We do have a couple of licenses with you guys already. Posting here was a last ditch effort really.. Also, yes, this was done on unmodified minimal CentOS6 and 7 installs and JavaScript is not being blocked; this is the case for the minimal installs as well as the STIG machine. I have gotten responses and emails saying we are waiting for Trevor at this point.

That would be me actually, and I've already replied both to the direct email in my inbox and to this thread.

Let me know if you want this moved to the Customer section of the forum. If you already have an email ticket open, please reply to the chain and we can pick back up in the ticket.

This can be moved but I don't have access to that section of the forums. Patrick is replying via email now, but we are both a bit too snarky for our own good so he is trying really hard to proofread everything. I don't know what our contractual agreements are and do not have access to see them which is why I was posting here to try to get help as other venues were not working.

Customer forum access can be granted by emailing [email protected] with your username, and if they need to get approval it would need to come from someone who is an authorized contact if you are not already.

For the ticket, if it is already open then a reply will pop it back up on our dashboard and we'll know it needs to be addressed.

Done and he sent a reply. Ticket has been created using a copy of the email Patrick sent to you. This can be moved to the customer section if you like. We are going home now.

I've moved this to the Customer section, and Matt has taken ownership of the ticket.
