Hi,
I'm having issues with setting up SNMP Trap monitoring for some router devices we have.
During the Wizard, I'm getting the following --> "There are no monitoring options to configure with SNMP Traps. Click Next to continue."
Nagios XI 5.3.3. is the version being used.
I've tried installing MIBS by uploading and processing them, to no avail.
Thanks in advance.

Re: SNMP Traps
On top of massive security improvements in 5.4, there are also some bug fixes for SNMP in XI 5.4. I would highly encourage you to upgrade: https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... nstall.pdf
If that doesn't fix your SNMP issue, or if you run into issues upgrading, please let us know.

Re: SNMP Traps
Hello,
Has not helped.
Is there something I'm missing?
I've followed your documentation on smtp traps, but it's a bit outdated tbh

Re: SNMP Traps
What are the devices you are trying to monitor? Perhaps we can help find the appropriate documentation.
Re: SNMP Traps
Hi dwhitfield,
Is there a way to see all the SNMP traps received under an SNMP traps service on Nagios? Excet for the snmptt.log that is.
What i am understanding so far is that only the latest trap is recorded and shown in Nagios GUI.
Maybe i am missing something, isn't there any report for this?
Thanks

Re: SNMP Traps
The message
What the wizard does is create a generic service called SNMP Traps and when the XI server receives a trap from that IP address it puts in in that service.
Does that help out?
is a normal message as SNMP Traps are considered a Passive check and there are no more settings that have to be configured for that host. There are no monitoring options to configure with SNMP Traps. Click Next to continue.

Re: SNMP Traps
Have a look at /var/log/snmptrapd.log. It should log every trap arriving.
