Hey guys, is there a way to change the default on the operations screen Nagios 5.4.0 to " Hide Handled" and "hide soft".
We have a ton of confuddled users lol
I am willing to change the code if its needed.

Re: change operations screen default settings
Are you asking to reverse the order in which they appear?

Re: change operations screen default settings
No my good man. When a new user logs into nagios and goes to the opsscreen, They then have to manually click onto "hide Handled" and Hide soft" inorder to make all handled items dissapear from the ops sc reen. My team just migrated about 90 ppl to nagios 5.4.0 from xi 2014.
They are used to logging into nagios going to the opsscreen and only seeing current unhandled problems. I like the new feature, but would like it better if the opsscreen defaured to only showing current issues, and if a user want to see handled issues they just click the button.

Re: change operations screen default settings
Once you change the state it should save it for the user. Is this not working?

Re: change operations screen default settings
yes, it works. But we have a lot of users who will be logging in over the weekend and or who work over night. I wont be there to assist. The component works fine. I just want to know how to modify/customise it so when they log in they see what they are used to.

Re: change operations screen default settings
There is no centralized method to control this prior to a user logging in and changing it. Would you like me to file a FR for this functionality?

Re: change operations screen default settings
Sure! but also, the default for the component must reside in the components code, is it possible to modify it?
