OVM 3.4.2 NRPE

Post by sify_nagios »

Dear Team,

We would like to install NRPE and enable monitoring in our OVM Version 3.4.2.
We are not able to find the specific NRPE package in the forum.

Note : We tries to install the redhat NRPE, its says not compatible.

Kindly provide us extact link and procedure to install the NRPE in OVM 3.4.3

Regards
Srini

You just need to find the source and compile manually. I monitor OVM here with it no issue.

Thanks @BanditBBS!

Here's a link to manually compile NRPE v3 - https://support.nagios.com/kb/article.p ... ategory=22 - there are also a few other links in that same category you may find helpful.

Hi Team / BanditBBS,

Thanks for the prompt response.
In the link you have shared we could find the Oracle linux package and steps not the OVM information.

Can you able to specify the package?

You would need to compile it using the package we provided. We don't have anything specific for OVM.

Just checking in since we have not heard from you in a while. Did @rkennedy's post clear things up?
