Hi Team,
We wanted to monitor a URL. It has internal DNS IP for internal website and on external IP for external website.
When I ran through the Website Configuration Wizard, selecting HTTPS, it is pulling the information I am looking for (This is for Internal Website). But when I ran the same wizard to connect to external Website it is still taking the DNS of the internal website and is throwing me the information of internal website.
Could you please how can I configure this, I tried adding the IP address manually to see if this works better. But I am getting DNS resolution error. stating it is expected xx.xx.xx.xx but the IP it is trying is xx.xx.xx.x1. Please advise. thanks.
URL Monitoring
Re: URL Monitoring
Please show us the different services, and related objects representing which one is working, and which one is not. We'll then be able to identify where the problem is.

Re: URL Monitoring
Additionally, are you able to ping the remote site from the Nagios server? (or wget a page from it...somehow prove that you can connect to the remote site from the XI server)

Re: URL Monitoring
Is the working Ping check on the external using the IP address or the DNS name?
To help put the pieces of the puzzle together, can you PM me your Profile? You can download it by going to Admin > System Config > System Profile and click the Download Profile button towards the top. If for whatever reason you *cannot* download the profile, please put the output of View System Info (5.3.4+, Show Profile if older) in the thread (that will at least get us some info).
After you PM the profile, please update this thread. Updating this thread is the only way for it to show back up on our dashboard.

It is using the DNS name.
Attached the profile.

Re: URL Monitoring
Thank you for the profile. Since you are using the DNS name, you still haven't told us you can actually reach the remote site from the nagios server.
Using both the IP address and the DNS name, can you run a traceroute from the command line? You can PM the results or scrub as necessary. Again, if you PM, please update the thread so it pops back up on the support dashboard.
