Unable to add host to Nagios Server

Please let me know correct procedure to add host to Nagios server for monitoring.

Tried with all options which are available in google but still no luck in adding host to Nagios.

We use Ubuntu OS.

First, a public service announcement: Always be mindful of what you see from Nagios related Google searches as most are for Nagios Core which is a different product and the procedure for adding hosts/services is far different from Nagios XI

Ok, now If your XI system is installed on Ubuntu, this is an unsupported platform.

If the Ubuntu system IS the the remote host you're looking to monitor using Nagios XI, then you can use the Linux wizard to add it, and quite easily.
