When I am looking at a service status window, in the Service column, the mouse cursor does not change to a picture of a hand (to indicate that you can click on it). This only occurs in IE.
This only occurs in the Service object column, it works correctly in the Host object column.
This is a Nagios XI 2011R1.9 VM running on ESXi 4.1.

What version of IE are you using? I cannot recreate this in IE9 using Nagios XI 2011R1.9

Strange but I've worked out what is causing the problem.
It only occurs when Compatibility View is enabled in IE.
Normally this is not turned on by default, this is why you couldn't reproduce the problem.
The reason why it was enabled in our environment was due to a Compatibility View setting combined with an Intranet setting.
Glad we've worked this one out, it's puzzled me for ages!

- In IE press the ALT key and then in the Tools menu select Compatibility View Settings
Un-tick the box Display intranet sites in Compatibility View
Click Close
- In IE press the ALT key and then in the Tools menu select Internet Options
Click the Security tab
Select Local intranet
Click the Sites button
Click the Advanbced button button
Here we had defined *.ourdomain.local as a trusted site
