Nagios - Global Event Handler

Post by selvi »

Hi Guys,

I am new to this Nagios XI, i had some doubts on Service and Host Monitoring,

1) In "Global Event Handler" Component, if we configure shell files in "Host State Change Handler Commands" or "Service State Change Handler Commands" how to execute automatically when the particular Host or Service state changes?

2) How can we monitor the current status of the Host and Service of the particular machine through Nagios?

Thanks & Regards,
Selvi

This is exactly what they should do.

See answer 1)

additionally you could install the backend API component and pull any info via XML API
