Favorite plugin

I'm new to using Nagios Core, and I have my first implementation setup.
Now that the basic setup is up and running, I'm starting to dig into the different plugins available.
There seem to be a huge set of plugins that are available to use, and as I'm digging through, I'm interested in which plugins people are using and which ones they can't live without.
If you have any plugin that you have found invaluable, let me know and I'll see if it's something that would help with my monitoring!

In terms of additional software: NSClient++, NRPE, NagEventLog, NSCA

For the actual plugins: check_esx3.pl, check_snmp_mem.pl, check_netapp.pl, check_snmp_load.pl, check_snmp_environment.pl, check_snmp_int.pl, check_nrpe (I'ved excluded all the plugins in the base plugins package, though many of them are equally important). These checks tend to form the backbone of my monitoring.
