Ok, now, can you run the following on both of that machines (the one with performance data and the one without) and send the results back

Code: Select all

/opt/nrpe/libexec/check_disk -V
/opt/nrpe/libexec/check_disk -w 5% -c 2%

Hey sorry for the delay.
It seems that some of the hpux servers are running something called HP Secureguard. It's not run on all of them and may be causing the issue. Have you guys ever heard of it?

I don't think the HP Secureguard software is just blocking off the performance data output for the plugin.
Have you had the chance to run the commands on both servers like @scottwilkerson suggested?

HP is keeping sysadmins employed, I guess. :)

Let us know once you have the output.

Are the number of disks listed dynamic? They need to be the same number ever time for it to work.

Please send us the full output of this command:

Code: Select all

rrdtool info /usr/local/nagios/share/perfdata/HOSTNAME/SERVICENAME.rrd
Then try moving the file and let the RRD rebuild and see if it starts graphing (wait 20 minutes before checking):

Code: Select all

cd /usr/local/nagios/share/perfdata/HOSTNAME
mv SERVICENAME.rrd SERVICENAME.rrd.old
mv SERVICENAME.xml SERVICENAME.xml.old
Thank you
