NagiosXI integration with Heat software.

Post by Interrex »

Hi.

In our company we got a service desk management tool from Heat Software. ( http://www.heatsoftware.com )

Do you know if anyone have created an integration between NagiosXI and Heat software.
Or how this can be done?

What we wish to happen: (by e-mail, snmp or other?)
1. Nagios detects an event /Crit/Warn) to autogenerate Incidents in Heat.
2. When the incident is created Heat replies with the Incident number, NagiosXI catches this and acknowledges the Host/Service with the Incident number as an comment.

SNMP Traps are likely one way to do it. We have a really thorough tutorial for getting this going: https://support.nagios.com/kb/article.php?id=77

Email might also work. You'll probably want to read https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf

We don't have any more specific integration, and these sorts of specific integrations are not something we typically do since SNMP or email work in most cases.
