Birdseye filtering by servicegroup

I am planning to use the Birdseye view as a NOC type wall screen in the office areas of the network support group. I would like to be able to filter by servicegroup to remove the items from the screen that the group is not responsible for maintaining, since we use Nagios for both server and network infrastructure. Any way to filter similar to the Operations Center view? Based on the location of the screen, we prefer the format of Birdseye over the Operations Center.

I was told by our developers that some sort of filtering will be added eventually to the birdseye component. I don't have any details or an ETA, but just wanted to give you heads up.
