Bulk change of description field

Hi,

I have to modify all the Description fields for my Nagios host and I wonder if there is a way to do it in Bulk as is not possible to do it using the Bulk Modification Tool because each host have a different description. I was thinking about updating the mysql database directly, delete the .cfg files and re-create them from the web GUI but I'm guess is not the best idea.

Have you tried using the "Bulk Renaming Tool"? You can select many/all hosts in Stage 2, then change hosts' alias (and/or Display Name if you wish), and click "Next" to finish.
