Re: How to check warn and critical errors in log file
We produce a separate product for log analysis/monitoring: Nagios Log Server. I'll only plug it once, but if you're looking to watch a bunch of logs that really is the better product.
Otherwise, here's a relatively popular plugin on the exchange for that use case:
https://exchange.nagios.org/directory/P ... pl/details
You'll need to refer to that plugin's documentation/usage for instructions. We didn't write that plugin; A community member did.

Ok. What do you mean by, I'll only plug it once?
Do you have any pdf which describe use/configuration of Nagios Log Server.
Thank you.

I meant to say that, if you were set on using Nagios XI, I wouldn't continue to bother you with Nagios Log Server information.
Here's a general overview of the product:
https://www.nagios.com/products/nagios-log-server/
And here's a higher level architectural overview:

And here's a crash course video on YouTube:

We don't have any specific documentation. Did you encounter any problems leveraging the community plugin I shared earlier?
https://exchange.nagios.org/directory/P ... pl/details
That plugin's usage is pretty comprehensive and covers most use cases. Was any part of it confusing?

yes. I want to configure it on Nagios XI.
by selecting check command CHECK_NRPE and in arg1 i will specify that plugin name and how should I pass warning/critical string in argument2 ?
thank you,
