Email Notification never sent out after recovery
Email Notification never sent out after recovery
Seems like we haven't received some email alerts on device after recovery. It's seems it's on random device at random times. I have attached a screenshot on the 2 interfaces of the switch that we received emails on the warning but never received any emails on the recovery. We use the same template setting for all on our devices. Is this normal?

Re: Email Notification never sent out after recovery
Users can set this if they click on their username and then go to "Notification Preferences." You can also set notification templates under Admin --> Notification Management if you are using Enterprise features. You can also set this in the CCM on the service under the "Alert Settings" tab. Did you check spam to make sure the recoveries did not go there?
Can you post the template and the configs associated with the services in question? If you prefer to PM them, that's fine. Just make sure you update this post so it shows back up on our dashboard if you PM them.

I've uploaded the attached on my notification settings. This is what all of my devices are using.

Re: Email Notification never sent out after recovery
Another place the email notifications could be disabled is in the Host or Service check itself.
Go in to the Core Config Manager > Services menu, find the fc1/41 service and edit it.
Go to the Alert Settings tab and verify that the notification options are set the way you want.

The setting hasn't change and it's the same setting for all of the devices.
I've attached this picture of the settings that we've used for all of our devices.

Re: Email Notification never sent out after recovery
Thanks for the Profile. It is in the shared folder so the other support techs can view it.
It looks like you have 2 groups of service checks for that host, one called Nexus-5K-1 with an upper case K and the other Nexus-5k-1 with a lower case k in the name and they are setup the same but they are probably causing the issue.
To fix this , go in to the Core Config Manager > Services menu and search for one of the configs to delete. Select them, delete them and Apply the Config.
That should fix the issue.
